Fact Check: Can you really use an air mattress blower for a breathalyzer?
There is a post in which the user – @realcdothoncho (Cdot Honcho) claims that his cousin is using a mattress blower for his breathalyzer in order to start the car, similar to this Intex Quick-Fill Air Pump Series found on Amazon.
While we can not speak on every breathalyzer, (chances are they take the moisture level in your breath amongst other things) it appears this particular one falls for the trick. It is hard to tell though if this one is connected to the car. Just like everything else, there are plenty of breathalyzers on the market and prices vary. A $20 Breathalyzer, shouldn’t be as accurate as a $129 ‘professional’ Breathalyzer right?
Whatever the case, it is pretty scary to think that there are drivers who require a breathalyzer test from being pulled over and convicted in the past for a DWI/DUI are finding ways to bypass this court-ordered requirement.
