Suspect Charged in Fatal Shooting of Female at 1162 Allen Genoa Road; Victim Found Shot Multiple Times

HOUSTON, Texas – Charges have been filed against Latrenton Dealverez Washington, 36, in connection with the fatal shooting of a 35-year-old female, found at 1162 Allen Genoa Road around 5:05 p.m. on Monday, August 14.

Washington is charged with murder in the 337th State District Court. He was arrested without incident following a preliminary investigation and evidence from the scene that identified him as the suspect.

Houston Police Department (HPD) patrol officers responded to a call about a person down in the parking lot of a business at the aforementioned address. Upon arrival, they found the female victim, unresponsive and slumped over in the passenger seat of a blue Toyota Corolla. She had been shot multiple times. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the female deceased at the scene.

The identity of the deceased is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

Officers from the HPD South Central Patrol Division located the vehicle in which Washington fled the scene and conducted a traffic stop, leading to his arrest.

The Harris County District Attorney’s Office was contacted, and Washington was subsequently charged for his role in the incident.
