Clear Lake Fire in Panola County 80% Contained

PANOLA COUNTY, TEXAS, August 21, 2023 – The Texas A&M Forest Service reports that the Clear Lake Fire in Panola County is now 80% contained, covering 746 acres. Fire behavior diminished overnight, allowing crews to construct a containment line around the entirety of the fire. Crews will continue their work today to further contain and manage the fire
