Texas A&M Forest Service Responds to Carley Fire in Young County

YOUNG COUNTY, Texas, Aug. 21, 2023 – The Texas A&M Forest Service has been called to assist with a wildfire in Young County. Known as the #CearleyFire, the blaze has consumed an estimated 150 acres and is currently 0% contained.

Local firefighting units are on the scene, and additional resources are being mobilized to combat the fire. As of now, there are no reports of injuries or structural damage.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation, and the Texas A&M Forest Service will continue to provide updates as more information becomes available. Residents in the affected area are encouraged to stay alert and follow any evacuation orders or instructions from local authorities.
