Man Critically Injured in Multi-Vehicle Crash on Northwest Freeway Dies
HOUSTON, Texas, Aug. 31, 2023 — A 35-year-old man critically injured in a crash on the 12400 block of the Northwest Freeway (U.S. Highway 290) service road on Sunday, Aug. 27, has been pronounced deceased. The victim’s identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
The man was a passenger in a purple Infiniti G35 that collided with a silver Toyota Tacoma at an intersection. The impact caused a chain reaction involving several other vehicles, including a white Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck, a blue Nissan Versa, a Chevrolet Camaro, a Honda Accord, and a Chevrolet Corvette.
The 19-year-old male driver of the Infiniti was transported to an area hospital in stable condition. The drivers of the other vehicles involved, a 61-year-old male and a 45-year-old female, were also transported to area hospitals; their conditions are unknown.
No charges have been filed at this time, and the investigation is ongoing.
