Houston Police Investigating Fatal Shooting on Pitner Road; Second Male Wounded

HOUSTON, Texas, Sept. 5, 2023 – The Houston Police Department (HPD) is currently investigating a fatal shooting that occurred at an apartment complex at 8657 Pitner Road around 7:50 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 4. The identity of the deceased male victim is pending family notification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

According to reports, patrol officers responded to a shooting at the specified location and discovered one male deceased from multiple gunshot wounds. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene. A second male victim, 31, was found at a different location suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital and is expected to survive.

The suspect in this case is described only as an Hispanic male who fled the scene in a black pickup truck. At this time, there is no known motive for the shooting.
