Fact Check: Was new bodycam footage just released of Gabby Petito claiming Brian Laundrie hit her?

In this video released today, Gabby Petito told officers in Utah that Brian Laundrie has hit her in the past.

Warning: This is a pretty hard video to watch, especially when you ask why Utah police officers didn’t try to arrest Brian Laundrie at that point for domestic violence. If you want to fast forward to the part that she admits to him hitting her, it is at the 5:20 mark. The rest of it sounds like the officer is just victim-blaming and trying to take Brian Laundrie’s side.
