MULTIPLE ALARM, DEFENSIVE FIRE AT LOS CUCOS MEXICAN CAFE; ONE FIREFIGHTER TRANSPORTED FOR HEAT EXHAUSTION

(TOMBALL, TX) August 23, 2023 – A commercial fire at Los Cucos Mexican Cafe located at 22390 Tomball Parkway is still an active scene as of this report. Multiple fire departments are engaged in a concerted effort to contain the blaze.

On the scene are the Klein Fire Department, Cypress Creek FD, Northwest Fire, Champions Fire, and ESD 11. The situation escalated into a multiple alarm, defensive fire, with Klein Fire Department’s District 30 in command.

So far, no civilian injuries have been reported. However, one Klein Fire Department firefighter has been transported for heat exhaustion.

Efforts to combat the fire are widespread, with lines on alpha, bravo, charlie, and delta sides. Fire crews have hooked up to three hydrants, and three tankers are on the scene, including those from Klein Fire Department, Champions, and Cypress Creek.

The situation is being closely monitored by the relevant authorities, and the public is urged to avoid the area while emergency services work to bring the situation under control.
