Houston Police Seek Person of Interest in 2020 Fatal Shooting of Juvenile

HOUSTON, TX, August 25, 2023 – Houston Police Department (HPD) is requesting the public’s assistance in locating Jasmaine Janae Gore, 34, a person of interest wanted for questioning in relation to the fatal shooting of 5-year-old Jordan Allen, Jr. The shooting occurred at approximately 10:45 p.m. on March 31, 2020, at 8155 Richmond Avenue.

Two other individuals, Alexis Moshae Gore, 25, and Shapree Monique Stoneham, 30, have been arrested and are charged with murder for their roles in the incident. Booking photos of both suspects have been released.

According to HPD Homicide Division, the young victim was standing on a second-story apartment balcony when he was struck in the head by a bullet. He was transported to Texas Children’s Hospital where he was pronounced dead on April 3, 2020.

Initial investigations led to the identification and subsequent arrest of Stoneham on August 13, 2021. She appears to have fired the fatal shot from a nearby location and has no known relation to the victim. Alexis Gore was arrested on August 16 and admitted her involvement to investigators.

Jasmaine Gore has not been charged but is considered a person of interest whom detectives are keen to question. At least one other suspect is still at large in this case.
