Suspects Arrested in Connection with Harlem Road Park Shooting and Assault
RICHMOND, FORT BEND COUNTY, TEXAS, September 19, 2023 – Fort Bend County Sheriff’s deputies, with the help of the Gulf Coast Violent Offender Task Force (GCVOTF), have arrested two individuals in connection to a violent disturbance that took place at Harlem Road Park in Richmond.
On September 16, 2023, shortly before noon, deputies responded to a call concerning a disturbance following a little league football game at the mentioned location. The altercation involved a juvenile who suffered injuries due to assault and an adult male who was grazed by a bullet after a firearm was discharged multiple times during the commotion. The injured adult was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
The suspects, identified as 36-year-old Kalvin Alex Flowers and 25-year-old Brittany Quyhn Tram Flowers, were apprehended without incident and are currently held at the Fort Bend County Jail. Kalvin Flowers faces a charge of Injury to a Child with a bond set at $50,000. Meanwhile, Brittany Flowers has been charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon; her bond amount has yet to be determined.
Sheriff Eric Fagan emphasized the administration’s commitment to community safety, especially at events attended by children, expressing gratitude to the GCVOTF for their assistance in the swift apprehension of the suspects.
