Fact Check: Did a hiker see and talk to Brian Laundrie this morning on an Appalachian trail?

Danny Davis, an engineer from Florida claims to have not only seen Brian Laundrie Sunday morning but even claims he spoke with him on a deserted road near the Appalachian Trail in North Carolina.

Did he in fact see him? That remains to be seen. We can’t verify this claim because police have not caught up to Brian Laundrie just yet, but the Watauga County Sheriff said just onThursday, there is no reason to believe Laundrie is in the mountains of North Carolina. With multiple media outlets taking this as a credible sighting, it is likely law enforcement will focus their search in the area.

While a hiker did make this claim, we can not verify that it was in fact Brian Laundrie.
