Richard Borgstrom is a tow truck driver being hailed as a hero after pulling a deputy from a fiery crash on a freeway in Pasadena, Texas

A tow truck driver is being hailed as a hero after pulling a Harris County Precinct 8 constable deputy from her patrol vehicle that was on fire.

According to the Pasadena Police Department, Deputy K. LeMelle’s patrol unit was on the shoulder of the East Beltway by San Augustine when a work truck crashed into the back of her just before 2 a.m. on July 26, 2022, which caused it to burst into flames.

The tow truck driver, Richard Borgstrom was driving by when he witnessed the accident. He stopped and saw she was trapped in her vehicle. The tow truck driver was able to gain entry into her vehicle and pulled her out just before ammunition inside her vehicle started exploding.

Pasadena is a city in south Houston.and is part of the Houston metropolitan area.
