Suspected Car Thief Shot and Killed by Vehicle Owner in Incident Near Louetta Road

July 27, 2023 – In a shocking turn of events early this morning, a suspected car thief was shot and killed by the vehicle’s owner near Louetta Road and Holzwarth Road.

Deputies from Constable Mark Herman’s Office responded promptly to a report of a shooting. Upon arriving at the scene, they found a male who had sustained a gunshot wound. Despite immediate attempts to resuscitate him, emergency medical services (EMS) performed CPR but ultimately pronounced him dead at the scene.
