Structure Fire on W. 18th St, Austin Confined to Oven, No Injuries Reported

July 27, 2023 – A reported structure fire at 604 W. 18th Street in Austin, Texas, has been confined to an oven in a second-story apartment, according to the Austin Fire Department.

Fire crews were quick to respond to the emergency call and upon arrival, successfully contained the fire to the oven. Additional crews worked to mitigate smoke, while other teams were cleared from the scene.

Thanks to the swift response and effective containment, the fire did not extend to other parts of the structure, preserving the integrity of the building and preventing further damage. No injuries have been reported.
