Update: Fugitive Braden Findley Now in Custody

August 2, 2023 – The Harris County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed that Braden Findley, 20, who was sought in connection with a terroristic threat and violation of a protective order, has been apprehended and is now in custody.

Findley was initially arrested on July 31 after deputies responded to a call in the 2300 block of Wigmaker Dr. Following his arrest for Felony Violation of a Protective Order/Retaliation, Findley was transported to the Clay Rd Substation at 16715 Clay Rd. In a shocking turn of events, Findley was able to remove his handcuffs and fled on foot before being escorted into the substation.

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office had previously warned the public not to approach Findley if spotted and to call authorities instead. They expressed their gratitude to the community for its help in apprehending the fugitive.

There is no longer any threat to the public related to this incident. Further details about the case have not been released at this time.
