Montgomery County Assists CISD with Bomb Threat Investigation at Oak Ridge High School

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX – August 22, 2023 – The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office (MCTXSheriff) is actively assisting the Conroe Independent School District (CISD) with a bomb threat investigation at Oak Ridge High School. Authorities have emphasized that this is NOT an active shooter situation.

All students and staff have been evacuated from the location, and all students have been accounted for. According to officials, there is no threat to the public at this time.

The situation is being handled with the utmost caution, and the investigation is ongoing. All media inquiries regarding this incident are to be directed to Conroe ISD.
