Houston’s Memorial Villages Announce Stage 2 Water Restrictions Amid Extended Heat Wave

HOUSTON, TX, AUGUST 24, 2023 – Amid an extended heat wave affecting area water supplies, the City of Houston will announce additional water restrictions this weekend. Although the Memorial Villages have their own water systems, these are connected to Houston’s system and local authorities are urging residents to conserve water. The Memorial Villages Water Authority (MVWA) has moved to Stage 2 Watering Restrictions effective August 27, 2023. Restrictions include specified watering hours and days based on the ending digit of residents’ addresses. Filling pools, hot tubs, and wading pools is also restricted to designated watering days.
