Texas A&M Forest Service Battles Two Separate Fires in San Augustine County, Both at 0% Containment

August 27, 2023 – San Augustine County, TX – The Texas A&M Forest Service has been called to assist with two separate wildfires in San Augustine County. The Hebron Cemetery Fire is currently estimated to be 125 acres and is 0% contained. This fire is located to the west of another ongoing wildfire, the #San Augustine 3600Fire, which is also 0% contained and is estimated to cover 75 acres.

Both fires are being closely monitored and actively fought to prevent further spread. The Forest Service has yet to report on the strategies being employed to contain these specific fires.
