University of North Carolina Police Release Photo of Person of Interest in Armed and Dangerous Situation

CHAPEL HILL, NC, August 28, 2023 – The University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill Police have released a photo of a person of interest in relation to today’s “armed and dangerous person situation.” The campus earlier went into lockdown protocol following reports of shots fired.

Authorities are urging the public to exercise extreme caution. If anyone sees the individual in the photo, they are advised to keep their distance, prioritize their own safety, and immediately call 911. Further updates are expected as the situation unfolds.
