San Antonio Police Department Responds to Officer-Involved Shooting; Westbound Lanes Closed

SAN ANTONIO, Texas, August 30, 2023 – The San Antonio Police Department (SAPD) is currently working a scene involving an officer-involved shooting at the intersection of New Braunfels and IH-10. As a result, all westbound lanes and the exit to the IH-10 access road have been temporarily shut down.

Authorities are urging the public to avoid the area as they conduct their investigation. It is not yet clear what led to the officer-involved shooting, and no information has been released regarding any injuries or casualties at this time.
