Charges Filed in Assault at 4000 West 34th Street; Suspect Arrested

(HOUSTON, TX, Aug. 31, 2023) – Charges have been filed against a suspect involved in the assault of a 28-year-old man that occurred at approximately 2:55 p.m. on Wednesday, August 31. The suspect, Andrei Silviu Niculusca, 47, is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the 228th State District Court.

The male victim was transported to an area hospital in critical condition following the assault. According to investigators, the victim and Niculusca engaged in a verbal altercation in a nearby parking lot. The victim subsequently drove away, but was pursued by Niculusca who was driving a white Ford F-150 pickup truck. At high speed, Niculusca struck the victim’s vehicle, causing him to lose control and collide with a utility pole.

Paramedics arrived on the scene, and the victim was airlifted to the hospital via Life Flight helicopter. Niculusca was detained on-site. After consultation with the Harris County District Attorney’s Office, charges were filed against Niculusca for his involvement in the incident.
