Suspect Charged in Fatal Shooting of Three Men on Beechnut Street, Still at Large
(HOUSTON, TX, Aug. 31, 2023) – Charges have been filed against Jordy Barrios, 21, who is wanted in connection with the fatal shooting of three men at 100815 Beechnut Street around 5:40 a.m. on March 19. Barrios has been charged with capital murder in the 209th State District Court. He remains at large as of this update.
The victims have been identified as Jorge Vazquez, 30, Gerardo Filomeno, 30, and Cesar Villalon, 39. All three men were found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds in a strip center parking lot at the aforementioned address. They were pronounced dead at the scene by Houston Fire Department paramedics.
HPD Homicide Division reported that an initial investigation revealed the victims may have been engaged in an argument with an unknown Hispanic male, who was accompanied by an unknown Hispanic female. Both individuals fled the scene following the shooting. Subsequent investigation led to the identification of Barrios as the suspect. The capital murder charge against him was filed on Wednesday, August 30.
The unidentified Hispanic female, who was present during the incident, has been determined to be a witness and is not expected to be charged at this time.
