Two Suspects Arrested for Unauthorized Use of Stolen Vehicles Following High-Speed Incident

(HOUSTON, Texas, August 31, 2023) – On the night of August 30, Precinct 8 Deputies Webber and Margison observed four vehicles speeding in unison while traveling southbound on the Gulf Freeway. The vehicles exited onto Nasa Parkway and parked at 1020 W Nasa Pkwy. Subsequent license plate checks revealed that two of the cars, both Chevrolet Camaros, were reported stolen.

The deputies made contact with the suspected drivers of the stolen vehicles, identified as 19-year-old William Bonnie Martinez and 19-year-old Thomas Jaydn Porter. A search of the vehicles yielded two handguns in the red Camaro.

The Harris County District Attorney’s Office was contacted and accepted charges of Unauthorized Use of Vehicle against both Martinez and Porter. Both suspects were transported to the Harris County Joint Processing Center. Martinez was assigned a bond of $1,000, and Porter’s bond was set at $10,000.
