Update: Escaped Inmates Anthony Peavy and Frisco Lyons Recaptured

(HINDS COUNTY, MS, Aug. 31, 2023) – Hinds County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) reports that escaped inmates Anthony Peavy and Frisco Lyons have been recaptured. The two men were found in a wooded area near the county farm by HCSO deputies. Both Peavy and Lyons now face additional escape charges.

The inmates had originally escaped from the Hinds County Work Center while on a work detail. Authorities had issued an alert and requested that anyone with information on their whereabouts contact HCSO at 601-352-1521.
