Update on Major Crash at Denny’s Restaurant Injures 23, Causes Traffic Delays

At approximately 11:22 a.m. local time, the Rosenberg Police Department began responding to reports of a vehicle crashing into the Denny’s restaurant at 27960 Southwest Freeway. The vehicle struck the south wall of the establishment, resulting in 23 people inside suffering injuries. The nature of the injuries ranged from minor lacerations to severe, but all are reported to be non-life threatening. All affected individuals were conscious when transported to local medical facilities. The driver of the vehicle involved in the crash was not injured. The investigation into the cause of the accident is underway.

Motorists are advised to expect delays and to watch for lane closures in the 28000 block of the South Bound Feeder and Main Lanes as the investigation continues.
