Two Suspects Charged in Aguila Street Shooting

HOUSTON, TEXAS, September 12, 2023 – Charges have been filed against two individuals in connection with the shooting of an 18-year-old woman that took place on August 10, around 8:55 p.m., at 9600 Aguila Street.

The first suspect, 20-year-old Angel Flores, is facing charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and aggravated assault of a family member, according to filings in the 208th State District Court. A booking photo of Flores from March 2023 accompanies this news release.

The second suspect, a 15-year-old male, has been charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Upon his arrest, he will be referred to the Harris County Juvenile Probation authorities. Due to legal restrictions, the identity and booking photos of the juvenile are not available for release.

The Houston Police Department’s Major Assaults & Family Violence Division is leading the investigation. Upon responding to the shooting report at the specified address, they discovered that an adult woman, an adult man, and a juvenile male had sustained gunshot wounds and were subsequently transported to area hospitals for treatment.

The incident also resulted in damage to several residences and parked cars along the street, struck by bullets during the altercation. The 18-year-old female victim suffered gunshot injuries to her leg and arm and has undergone surgery. Both Flores and the juvenile male, who were among the injured, have since been released from the hospital.

Further investigations revealed that Flores and the juvenile male are the alleged perpetrators in this shooting incident. They have both been charged for their presumed roles in the violent occurrence.
