Underground Gasoline Tank Fire Reported in East SH 71
AUSTIN, TEXAS, SEPTEMBER 12, 2023 – Emergency services rushed to the 2700 block of E SH 71 WB following reports of an underground gasoline tank on fire. The Austin Fire Department (AFD) promptly arrived on the scene to manage the situation and undertake the necessary firefighting measures.
Austin-Travis County EMS (ATCEMS) was also dispatched, attending to at least one individual suffering from suspected burn injuries. The medical status of the patient is currently unknown, as emergency medical personnel continue to provide necessary treatment at the site.
