2022 HLSR: Where is the Rideshare drop-off and pick-up area for the 2022 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo?
The 2022 Houston Rodeo is finally upon us (fingers crossed it does not get canceled) and like any responsible adult, you have come to this page seeking information about the Rideshare Drop-Off/Pick-Up area because you are planning to get home safely by ordering a Uber or Lyft right?
The short answer? The OFFICIAL Rideshare drop-off and pick-up areas are in the Yellow Lot. This is the same as the 2020 HLSR, but since that was short-lived, you may not remember it. There are a couple of things you need to know though, so keep reading if you want to make this experience a pleasant one.
- “Officially” your driver can only pick you up and drop you off in this lot. Worried about finding it later? No need to worry, there are signs that will lead you back:
Please do not ask your, driver, to drop you off or pick you up anywhere outside the Yellow Lot if you are headed to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, or the Cookoff. This can result in a heavy fine, not for you but for your driver who gets paid 60 cents a mile.
2. Yea, it is a bit of a walk. Keep in mind, there is a Tram (free of charge) that will take you from the Yellow Lot back to the Rodeo entrance, and back again. Yea, the trams can get backed up, but remember the more people waiting for a ride, the higher the surge price gets. Waiting for the tram can help reduce what you pay, and the time you spend waiting for your driver and traffic leaving.
