25 year old was killed after being struck by a car in Channelview Monday night

A 25-year-old was killed in Channelview on Dell Dale near Axis Ridge after being struck by a vehicle Monday night.

According to Deputy D. Cheek of the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, the accident happened at about 10:30 p.m. in the 2000 block of Dell Dale when a man in a Dodge Journey struck a 25-year-old woman who was crossing the street.

According to police, the driver performed CPR on the woman and she was taken to Ben Taub hospital where she later died of her injuries.

The driver remained on the scene, was determined not to be intoxicated, and is cooperating with police. At this time, the driver will not be facing charges.
