Update on San Jacinto County Fire from Texas A&M Forest Service

The Texas A&M Forest Service has provided a new update on the fire burning in San Jacinto County. Previously known as the #SanJacinto2715Fire, the blaze will now be referred to as the #SnowhillFire.

As of the latest report, the Snowhill Fire has grown to an estimated 150 acres but is currently 50% contained. To help slow the spread of the fire and assist ground crews, aircraft continue to make crucial water and retardant drops on the fire.
