Public Assistance Requested in Hit-and-Run Incident on Fountain View and Inwood, Involving Eric Rye

HOUSTON, Texas – A plea for justice and public assistance has been issued following an apparent hit-and-run incident that took place on Fountain View and Inwood between the hours of 11:40 p.m. Saturday, 7/29, and 12:33 a.m. Sunday, 07/30.

The victim, identified as Eric Rye, was reportedly struck by a vehicle whose driver then fled the scene. Rye’s girlfriend has publicly asked for assistance in finding the responsible party and has urged anyone with information about the incident to come forward.

At the time of the accident, Rye was wearing red Dickie shorts, a black t-shirt, and white tennis shoes.

The Houston Police Department is actively investigating the incident, and anyone with information is asked to call HPD at 713-247-4072.

The family’s plea for justice emphasizes the critical role that community members can play in assisting law enforcement with their inquiries and underscores the importance of public cooperation in solving such crimes.
