BLUE ALERT ISSUED FOR SUSPECT IN OFFICER SHOOTING

HOUSTON, TX, August 16, 2023 – A Blue Alert has been issued by the Texas Department of Public Safety for a suspect believed to have seriously injured a law enforcement officer by shooting him twice.

The suspect, identified as Terran Green, is wanted in connection with the shooting of a deputy during a traffic stop at 13500 Homestead Rd. He was last seen in the 13600 block of Homestead Rd, Houston, TX, at 07:33 PM on August 16, 2023.

Update: Police are also actively searching for James Green, a 37-year-old Black male, in connection with the shooting. Green is described as having black hair, brown eyes, weighing approximately 168 pounds, and standing 5’6” tall.

The injured deputy, who was shot twice in the upper abdomen, was transported to Memorial Hermann and is expected to survive.
