HOUSTON, TX, August 16, 2023 – A deputy was shot during a traffic stop at 13000 Homestead Rd and has been transported by Lifeflight to a hospital. Authorities report that the suspect(s) fled the scene following the shooting.

The suspect is described as a black male, wearing a gray shirt and black shorts. He was seen driving a gray or blue Ford Explorer with black tint. The vehicle’s license plate number is SVJ6590.
