Charges Filed Against Second Suspect in Shooting of Six at 6003 Richmond Avenue

HOUSTON, TEXAS, August 20 – A second suspect, Calvin Rashad Williams, 32, has been charged in the shooting of five men and one woman at 6003 Richmond Avenue around 2:20 a.m. on June 11. Williams is charged with three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and one count of aggravated assault against a public servant in the 339th State District Court. He is not in custody. A 2021 booking photo of Williams has been released.

The other suspect, Carl Douglas Green, 32, has been charged with three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the 209th State District Court. Green is also not in custody.

The five male victims, aged 29, 27, 27, 30, and 32, and a 28-year-old female are recovering and in stable condition. One other male, 27, suffered minor injuries to the arm from broken glass.

HPD patrol officers responded to the shooting near 3100 Fountain View Drive, and the initial investigation determined that the shooting occurred in the parking lot of a bar at 6003 Richmond Avenue, following an argument inside the bar. Green was identified and charged on June 21, and Williams was identified as “Cabo” and charged on August 17.
