CORYELL COUNTY, TX – August 22, 2023 – The Rocky J Fire in Coryell County has grown to 125 acres and is now 60% contained, according to the latest update from firefighting officials.
Increased wind speeds contributed to heightened activity on the east side of the fire this afternoon, causing it to break containment in a few locations. Local fire departments and agency crews are actively responding to the situation.
