Houston Police Await Autopsy Results in Death Following Altercation at 14800 Main Street

HOUSTON, TX – August 24, 2023 – Houston Police Department (HPD) is awaiting autopsy results in the death of a 36-year-old male following an incident at 14800 Main Street at approximately 12 a.m. today.

Officers responded to a report of a traffic hazard involving two vehicles stopped in a moving lane of traffic. Upon arrival, they discovered that an altercation had occurred between the occupants of the two vehicles. One male occupant was found unresponsive inside one of the vehicles and was pronounced deceased by Houston Fire Department paramedics.

The cause of death remains undetermined, and the identity of the deceased male is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
