Houston Police Investigate Fatal Shooting at 5625 Antoine Drive

HOUSTON, TEXAS, August 26, 2023 – Houston police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred at approximately 12:45 a.m. on Saturday, August 26, at 5625 Antoine Drive. The identity of the deceased male is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

According to the HPD Homicide Division, patrol officers responded to an assault-in-progress call at the location, an apartment complex. Initial reports indicated that a pregnant female was being assaulted and dragged through the complex by a male suspect. Upon arrival, officers heard multiple gunshots and detained two males running through the courtyard. A third male, who had a gun in his possession, was detained in the complex parking lot.

Moments later, an unresponsive male was found in the courtyard. Paramedics from the Houston Fire Department arrived and pronounced the male deceased. The female victim, who had initially reported the assault, was able to provide a description of her assailant that matched the appearance of the deceased male. She was transported to an area hospital as a precautionary measure.
