Texas City Police Respond to Gunfire from Moving Cars, At Least One Injured

TEXAS CITY, TX, Sept. 2, 2023 — Texas City Police responded to reports of gunshots fired from a moving vehicle near state Highway 146 and EF Lowry Expressway on Saturday afternoon. Captain Manuel Johnson of the Texas City Police Department confirmed that at least one person has been injured due to the gunfire and is currently being tended to near Lowe’s Hardware store in the vicinity.

Initial reports suggest that two vehicles were involved in the incident, both speeding and firing shots. There is also an unconfirmed report of another injured individual who has not yet been located, according to Johnson.
