Multiple People Shot During Labor Day Weekend House Party on Galveston’s West End

GALVESTON, TEXAS, Sept. 3, 2023 — Galveston Police responded to multiple gunshot victims during an overnight party on the island’s far West End. The initial reports came in at about 1:20 a.m. Sunday, at a house located on Mendocino Drive in the Pointe San Luis subdivision, according to Captain Xavier Hancock.

The site of the shooting is roughly 3 miles from the San Luis Pass. No suspects are currently in custody, and police are questioning more than a dozen individuals. The number of injured and the severity of the injuries remain unconfirmed at this time. Further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
