Houston Police Investigate Double Homicide on Southlawn Street; Seek Public Assistance

HOUSTON, Texas, Sept. 5, 2023 – The Houston Police Department (HPD) is investigating a fatal shooting incident that claimed the lives of two males at 3825 Southlawn Street at approximately 5:25 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 4. The identities of the victims are pending family notifications by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

Patrol officers responded to a call concerning a shooting in the courtyard of an apartment complex at the specified address. Upon arrival, they discovered the victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Houston Fire Department officials pronounced one male deceased at the scene and transported the second male to an area hospital, where he was subsequently pronounced dead.
