Houston Police Investigating Fatal Shooting of 21-Year-Old Christopher Arellano; Suspect Still at Large

HOUSTON, Texas, Sept. 5, 2023 – The Houston Police Department (HPD) is investigating the fatal shooting of a 21-year-old man, identified as Christopher Arellano, at 7127 Alder Drive at approximately 5:05 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 2. Arellano was pronounced deceased on Sunday, Sept. 3, after being transported to a local hospital by a private vehicle.

According to reports, patrol officers responded to a shooting call at a business at the aforementioned address. Witnesses informed the officers that Arellano was working on a car when an unknown suspect opened fire, striking him multiple times. The suspect subsequently fled the scene on foot.

The suspect is described as an Hispanic male, approximately 6 feet tall with a slim build, wearing a black hoodie and khaki pants. At this time, there is no known motive for the shooting.
