Suspect Identified in Assault on Trooper in Brockton
BROCKTON, Mass., Sept. 14, 2023 – Authorities have condemned the “reckless and abhorrent” actions of an individual who dragged and injured a trooper during a traffic stop in Brockton.
The suspect has been identified as Derek Lobo, 31, of Brockton. He is wanted for multiple serious charges including assault and battery on a law enforcement officer, and trafficking of Fentanyl. Thankfully, the trooper sustained only minor injuries.
Authorities are actively searching for Lobo and have vowed that he will be brought to justice. The public is urged to come forward with any information regarding Lobo’s whereabouts.
