Texas City Police Investigate Shooting, Victim Uncooperative

TEXAS CITY, Texas, Oct. 4, 2023 – Texas City police are investigating a shooting in which a man claims he was shot in the right leg while walking on 21st Street. The man is currently receiving medical treatment for his injuries. According to Texas City Police Chief Landis Cravens, aside from his initial claim, the wounded man is not cooperating with the ongoing police investigation.

Authorities were called to a residence at the intersection of 21st Street and 21st Avenue at approximately 6:20 p.m. on Wednesday. Due to the lack of cooperation from the injured individual, police currently have no description of the shooter or a clear understanding of the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
