Shooting at Homecoming Trail Ride Party in Waller County Injures Seven

WALLER COUNTY, Texas – November 6, 2023 – Waller County Sheriff’s Office detectives responded to a report of gunfire at 35028 Cameron Road, related to a trail ride and Prairie View A&M Homecoming event. At the scene, officials found seven people, including one juvenile, with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds following a dispute that escalated among party attendees. The incident occurred on November 5, around 10:04 p.m. Over a thousand guests were present, and early investigations indicate a lapse in the adherence to agreed-upon security measures. Detectives are continuing to investigate as they pursue additional leads.
