MOBILE HOME FIRE LEAVES ONE HOSPITALIZED; INVESTIGATION UNDERWAY

HARRIS COUNTY, TX, August 16, 2023 – At approximately 12:00 today, Little York Fire Department (LYFD) units, along with partnering agencies, responded to a mobile home fire off of Nystom Circle.

Upon arrival, crews discovered that a fire had occurred in one of the bedrooms but was contained at that time. One occupant of the mobile home was transported to a local hospital for smoke inhalation. Thankfully, no other injuries were reported in the incident.

A collaborative effort between Harris County ESD No.24/Aldine Fire & Rescue, Northwest Volunteer Fire Department, and Harris County Emergency Corps provided automatic aid, assisting the LYFD in handling the situation.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by the Harris County Fire Marshal’s Office. The agencies involved expressed gratitude for the coordinated response and are working together to determine the circumstances that led to the fire.
