Investigation Underway in Fatal Shooting of 27-Year-Old Man on Duane Street

HOUSTON, TX, August 18, 2023 – Houston police are actively investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 11507 Duane Street, which occurred around 7:55 p.m. last Friday. The victim has been identified as Michael Ford, 27.

HPD patrol officers and Houston Fire Department paramedics arrived at the scene and discovered Mr. Ford in the living room with a gunshot wound. HFD paramedics subsequently pronounced him deceased.

Preliminary investigations and evidence collected from the scene suggest that a silver SUV, specifically described as a silver Ford Explorer, was traveling in the area when unknown suspect(s) fired shots from inside the vehicle at the residence.
