Fatal Hit-and-Run Incident Under Investigation; Armed Suspect Flees Scene in NW Harris County

August 27, 2023 – NW Harris County, TX – In a devastating incident, HCSO Units were called to the 13800 block of West Cypress Forest Drive, near Grant and Jones, following reports of a hit-and-run. A driver in a newer model Ford Explorer left the roadway and struck a female, presumed to be a pedestrian, as well as a residence. While no injuries were reported among the home’s occupants, the female was pronounced dead at the scene.

Witnesses on the scene recounted seeing a male individual fleeing on foot. Described as a white male in his 30s, he was dressed in black clothing and wore a cap. Witnesses also noted the man was armed with a pistol. He was last observed heading northbound on Cypress Forest Drive.
