No homes were directly affected, although the fire did cause damage to the privacy fence of several properties off Jewel Point Drive. Other agencies, including the Montgomery County Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management (OEM) and Constable Ryan Gable, Pct. 3 Constable of Montgomery County, TX, also aided in the response.
OEM utilized drone technology to track the fire’s spread and calculated the affected area to be just over 7 acres. Precinct 3 conducted an investigation into reports of fireworks usage in the vicinity and issued two citations related to the fire.
Despite expected rain in the area, the fire conditions remain critical. Montgomery County continues to uphold a burn ban, urging residents to exercise extreme caution with any potential heat sources that could ignite dry vegetation.
