Suspect Wanted for Theft and Aggravated Child Abuse Arrested by Constables

August 26, 2023 – Harris County, TX – Constables from Mark Herman’s Office apprehended a suspect wanted on multiple charges while working an approved extra job at a Walmart located in the 155 block of E Louetta Crossing. The individual was detained by the store’s loss prevention officer on suspicion of shoplifting.

Upon identification, the suspect was revealed to be Aqueelah Swett. Swett was found in possession of stolen merchandise valued under $100.00. A subsequent investigation uncovered an open warrant for Theft in Harris County, as well as four open felony warrants out of Shelby County, Tennessee, for Aggravated Child Abuse.

Aqueelah Swett has been arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail on the open warrants, according to a statement by Constable Mark Herman.
