Unconfirmed Reports of Active Shooter Put Dundee Crown High School on Lockdown

CARPENTERSVILLE, Illinois, Aug. 30, 2023 – Dundee Crown High School is currently on lockdown following unconfirmed reports of an active shooter and shots fired either near or inside the school premises. Multiple law enforcement agencies, including SWAT teams, are on the scene in Carpentersville, Illinois, as they work to confirm the reports.

As of now, it remains unclear what exactly is unfolding at the school. Students and staff have been evacuated or are taking cover in classrooms. The school campus is on lockdown as authorities continue to investigate.
